I have been blessed to share the gift of music for many years. Starting at age 10 as church musician for my father’s church, my musical journey has provided me a wide variety of opportunities to perform my talents of singing and playing the piano.
My musical experiences have included serving as school and church accompanist, choir director, piano teacher, jazz band musician & vocalist, and public performer. I was a co-founder of a non-profit performing arts school to serve at-risk youth of my community.
I have been an elementary school teacher for over 20 years. After a long day of teaching school, it has always been most pleasurable and rejuvenating to come home afterschool and teach piano to children and adults.
My husband Larry and I currently live in Stone Mountain, GA. I serve as music director for my husband’s church where he pastors. I love spoiling our two German shepherds, King and Sheba, and our cat, Tiger. With Sheba’s permission, of course, I thoroughly enjoyed leading music activities with her new litter of puppies—which was a super cool experience!
I am very excited about teaching the Kiddy Keys program which combines the teaching of music, school readiness, and character development to children during their most important formative years. I wholeheartedly embrace the mission of “making every child a star”.
