KiddyKeys introduces music appreciation and understanding to preschool children using an

interactive group learning environment that helps each child develop, value, and experience

basic music skills.  

With KiddyKeys, it's no longer necessary to create a lesson plan by searching for a song on a CD,

locating a page in a coloring book, or finding a book in the library.  We've taken care of all of that for you!

Here are just a few of the benefits of the KiddyKeys® Program:

• The curriculum is progressive and geared toward children ages 2 ½ through 5.  We’ve created 60 lesson plans, providing a cohesive series of 30 lessons plans per year.  These lesson plans can easily be adapted for use throughout the elementary grades.

• Each lesson includes KiddyKeys songs, finger plays, teaching aids, a story book and activity sheet. All elements relate to each other, allowing the lesson to come alive for each student.

• Music concepts are explored visually, orally and kinesthetically.  By accommodating multiple learning styles, we give every child the chance to succeed and have fun.

• The comprehensive classroom kit includes every teaching aid needed for class, and can be customized to meet the needs of larger classes.

Educational Benefits

We have the results of achievement tests to support our belief that KiddyKeys does indeed help prepare children for school.

Beginning with the 2006-2007 school year, Enterprise Academy in Green Bay, Wis. incoporated five arts domains into their curriculum.  The domains included music (KiddyKeys) gymnastics, dance, karate and art.  Utilizing the nationally recognized Woodcock-Munoz Mini Battery Assessment test proctored by Wisconsin Department of Public Instruction Licensed Teachers,  Enterprise conducted a two year study, measuring students test scores in five critical areas.  The scores increased as follows:

Basic Skills:

Defined: Measures letter identification, vocabulary understanding and comprehension

Results: Students achieved better on Basic Skills by 6.28%-6.46% with 1 yr of of Arts Enrichment Programming and improved by 19.58% to 26.91% with 2 yrs of Arts Enrichment Programming when compared to the National Norms. 

Reading Skills:  

Defined: Measures "pre-reading" skills, such as picture identification, and basic words.

Results: Students achieved better on Reading by 23.31% to 35.29% with 1 year of Arts Enrichment Programming & improved by 34.59% to 46.23% with 2 yrs of Arts Enrichment Programming vs. the

National Norms 

Writing Skills:

Defined: Assesses writing skills, like print the letter "h"(correct response is upper or lower case h

Results: Students achieved better on Writing by 23.66% to 27.66% with 1 year of Arts Enrichment Programming & improved 50.78% to 65.14% with 2 yrs of Arts Enrichment Programming vs. the

National Norms

Math Skills:

Defined:  Pre math skills may include making a correct number when instructed or early addition.

Results: Students achieved better on Math by 0.44% to 11.49% with 1 year of Arts Enrichment

Programming & improved by 11.01% to 16.56% with 2 yrs of Arts Enrichment Programming vs. the

National Norms

Factual Knowledge Skills:

Defined: Address general knowledge concepts – like identify a picture.

Results: Students achieved better on Factual Knowledge by 14.95% to 22.68% with 1 year of Arts Enrichment Programming & improved by 19.39% to 27.32% with 2 yrs of Arts Enrichment Programming

Composite Scores:

Defined: All five areas added to yield the composite score.

Results: Students achieved better on Composite Scores by 20.93% to 30.25% with 1 year of Arts Enrichment Programming & improved by 26.76% to 38.42% with 2 yrs of Arts Enrichment Programming

Additionally, 53% of students in the 4 year old program left Enterprise Academy reading!
